Hi, we are Critter Ridge Rescue! We are a local animal rescue, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need. We are in the business of providing animals with care, love and a safe environment while trying to help them find their new forever homes. We take in animals from bottle fed to senior age and healthy or with health conditions. All animals deserve a loving home, and we are happy to help them get there!

Despite his name, the Australian Shepherd originated in the western U.S., not Australia, around the time of the Gold Rush in the 1840s. Originally bred to herd livestock, he remains a working dog at heart; the Aussie, as he's nicknamed, is happiest when he has a job to do. He can be a wonderful family companion if his intelligence and energy are channelled into dog sports or activities.
